Sailcloth Fabric Art: Earth and Stars
Made from the forward corner of a Genoa headsail, and hung from foraged driftwood. This hanging depicts Earth from the perspective of a relatively close distance in space. The Stars are cut from Cuben fiber / Carbon fiber sail scraps, while the Earth is composed of Sunbrella marine canvas scraps.
The Corner of the sail is finished with a hem and hung by brass grommets from a uniquely curved piece of driftwood found on Terrapin Beach on Kent Island, Maryland.
